The warmth applied allows a deeper effect on the muscles (like the heated herbal treatment) as tension is eased away. Choose from a 'back of the body' treatment or a 'full body'. Thai Herbal Heat Massage
A good massage relieves and soothes tired, aching muscles. Adding deep-heat herbal therapy gives you extra healing benefits!
Herbal healing has deep roots in Thai culture. Herbal heat
compress is the best- known traditional therapy. This dates back to
ancient times when it was the secret healing technique of Buddhist
monks, local herbal healers and midwives and has been passed down
from generation to generation.
Thai herbal heat compress is used in combination with traditional Thai massage. Sore muscles are worked and stretched and then herbal heat compresses are applied along meridian lines as well as general problem areas to help soothing of sore muscles.
The herbal heat compress relaxes aching muscles, eases respiration through the use of aromatic camphor, and reduces tension through the heat and aromatic properties of the herbs used in the compress.
Traditional Thai medicine uses a herbal heat compress for the treatment of sprains, muscle pain, bruises and swelling. Traditional Thai medicine also uses herbal heat compresses in postnatal care treatment to help reduce swelling, drain wastes from the body, help soothe sore muscles and promote general health, while recovering from pregnancy.
The Thai Herbal Heat Massage can be received on a comfortable couch or on a Shiatsu style mat.
Penetrating herbs and their benefits
The
basic ingredients of a Thai Herbal compress;Cassumunar (Prai): boosts circulation, relieves muscular aches & pains, softening the skin
Camphor (Pim-sen): promotes a calming influence, eases respiration, reduces tension
Lemongrass (Ta-krai): stimulates digestion, antiseptic, treats skin infections
Kaffir-Lime (Ma-kroot): soothing, deodorizing, reduces depression, anxiety and insomnia.
Thai Aroma Massage
Thai aroma massage is a gorgeous blend of East meets West
techniques: Thai-style deep massage with yoga stretching is combined
with sophisticated western-style Swedish massage.
The massage is received with the client undressed (with specialised Thai sarong draped over the body) on a comfortable couch or on a Shiatsu style mat (depending on location) using pre blended aroma oils. This type of massage soothes your body and encourages a peaceful mind along with general well being.
A lovely thing I was taught by my teacher was at the end of the
treatment you stroke off down the body while saying 'Na-a,
Nava, Loka, Payati, Winasanti' which means 'We
pray for the one we touch that they will be free from all illness'
This is the aim of these treatments, to keep people well.

I loved your site, it reminds me of many a relaxing massage on
the beach in Thailand.
